If you’ve been watching the TikTok trends lately, you’ve probably seen the trend of users writing manifestation numbers on their wrist.
These aren’t your angel numbers like ‘222’ or ‘444’. They look more like phone numbers than anything you’d think of as connected to the universe.
And when I started looking into them, these manifestation codes are controversial!
So they’re either connecting you directly to the energy of abundance through the law of attraction, or they’re leaving you open and vulnerable to dark spiritual forces. Let’s check the social media platforms and keep an open mind.
What are the manifestation numbers on wrist?
Those numbers are called Grabovoi numbers or Grabovoi codes. TikTok users who like them swear that they are supercharged manifestation codes developed by a person who is sometimes called “mathematician Grigory Grabovoy” and other times “Russian psychic Grigori Grabovoi” – more on him later.
Supposedly each code has a unique vibration and will put you on the right track towards that specific manifestation. So if you’re looking for all those good things that people manifest like financial abundance, career goals, happiness, all that, Grabovoi codes are one of the different ways to go about it.
Manifestation is a spiritual practice with a lot of significance to practitioners, but there’s a lot of bad information out there about it and it’s smart to be skeptical of new things you come across on social media.
How do Grabovoi codes work?
The people who swear by them say that a Grabovoi code works just like affirmations or other manifestations strategies – by filling your subconscious mind with positive energy. Your subconscious resonates these positive emotions and attract positive outcomes from the universe.
I was initially a little skeptical of this part. Manifestation that’s focused around positive affirmations and positive scripting make sense to me. Your subconscious mind comes to believe the new information you’re giving it, your behavior changes. As a result of the changes in you, there’s a change in your own electromagnetic field, and the universe responds to you differently.
With these numbers…can the subconscious interpret these numbers? It seems like Grabovoi codes are supposed to change the universe without acting on the subconscious at all, which is not lined up with my experience of manifestation at all. But, ok universe, let’s check it out!
Why are Grabovoi codes controversial?
When I first started reading about this I was assuming he had lived, like, hundreds of years ago or whatever, but Grabovoi is still alive. I guess I was imagining Rasputin or something.
Anyway, he’s indisputably not a good guy. A quick look at his Wikipedia page will show you what I mean. Fraud, a cult, a pyramid scheme, and promising the parents of children killed in a school shooting that he could bring them back to life if the parents paid him enough money. There’s no defending any of that, and I don’t intend to try to. The TikTokers call him a “Russian mathematician” because it sounds better than “cult leader”, but dude is definitely a cult leader.
Different people online have pointed out that, as long as you don’t buy his book or send him any money, he doesn’t profit or benefit from you using the codes, and that might be true. Some people have defending using the codes by saying that it works for them and doesn’t make any money for Grabovoi–it’s just putting the manifestation numbers on wrist.
Others have responded that using the codes makes him more famous and makes it more likely that other people will fall into his cult.
Is that real though?
I see it both ways. It’s been interesting to me to see that users on TikTok – make videos that are mostly positive and on reddit it’s mostly negative. However, even the r/lawofattraction redditors are generally acknowledging that it works, but saying that it shouldn’t be used. So manifestation experts online are definitely divided about this.
The other controversy: some users online seem to think that this method can leave you vulnerable to demons or welcoming unknown energy of “life forms” that can possess you. Personally I think that this kind of warning tends to come from people who disapprove of manifestation completely for religious reasons rather than people with manifestation experience. I don’t think this happens in real life.

How to use Grabovoi codes
This is a lot less involved than a lot of other manifestation rituals — you take these “cheat codes of the universe” and build them into some type of daily routines. You can write these numerical sequences on your wrist, added to the top of the page or bottom of the page in a scripting journal or a small piece of paper. Some people even trace numbers in the air. If you are not looking to have the numbers super visible like they would be on your wrist, you can select another body part that will be less obvious. I have even seen stickers that you can buy online and stick on your water bottle.
(I have gotten a bunch of emails asking this sooo: it doesn’t matter which wrist!)
By far the most popular code, and things to try to manifest, is unexpected money. The code for that is 520 741 8. So I would write that code on my wrist (more likely I would write it on my leg somewhere so I wouldn’t have to explain it at work). The idea is that you keep adding this code into your regular manifestation practice until the thing you’re manifesting arrives. Just keep adding the manifestation number on wrist until you get what you were manifesting.
Where does the money come from?
Users online describe getting a sudden back paycheck from an old job, a security deposit returned that they weren’t expecting, or a random booking from a client that supplied a bunch of extra money they weren’t expecting.
(Personally, with my experience manifesting: I think that it’s probably not this simple, and you probably need to have the right vibrational frequency in order to actually get the thing you’re trying to manifest. So if you’re having trouble — add in some of the more typical manifestation advice like visualization. I think the holistic approach tends to make a lot of these other strategies work better. )
