I’m writing this post because I don’t want to someday have someone going back through these posts and there to be a gap — but there’s not going to be a lot to say here.
Last month’s income report is here.
My care responsibilities in May 2025 meant that I did no blogging. No posts. Pins were posted by my Pinterest manager — I will definitely write all about her in the next income report! But she’s rebuilding after I spent basically eight weeks not pinning at all, so I want to give those numbers some time. I didn’t really do anything for this blog.
It honestly wasn’t even blogger burnout. I”m just keeping a lot on my plate between the end of the school year and my mother-in-law’s health. Now that school is out, I’m trying to get caught up and do better. (I’m actually writing this on June 17, though it’s going to say June 1 on the post. I’m playing a lot of catchup.)
I can’t even talk about workflow right now — I’m just trying to keep the kids in camp and the doctor’s appointments in line! I am trying to find a balance between giving myself grace and actually doing what I can without giving up.
So, I probably won’t bother to pin this post, but it’s here when I am someday looking back on this journey.
Income report
One thing that happened this month that’s never happened before — I earned a bounty through Amazon Associates. So the blog made an extra $90 because I hit a sales minimum. Pretty nice! I don’t always feel great about linking Amazon, but literally every time I link somewhere else people ask if they can get whatever it is on Amazon. So it is what it is.
From Journey, I earned $188.08 in April. From Amazon, I earned $170.61 in commissions, by far the highest I’ve ever gotten. That totals $358.69.
I paid out $249 for Pinterest management services. I’m not seeing the full results of this yet, but I know that I’m going to and that this will pay off.
So, the blog made $109.69 in May 2025.
And the year-to-date revenue for 2025 has bounced back up to the highest it’s ever been, to $702.63.
And the revenue for the life of the blog, since December 2023, is $626.43.
When I feel defeated or like I think it’s going to take too long to do this successfully, I am just trying to remind myself that this is a really long game and I am a human with a life outside of this blog. I did 0 work on the blog in May and still made $110. That’s amazing! And I have learned a lot and can do more going forward.
