Okay, we do a lot about self-care routines on this blog. And I’ve done a bunch of posts on How To Create A Self-Care Day Routine That is Perfect For You and how to use the Messy-Clean-Quiet Block strategy and how to basically come up with a completely individual self-care routine, and honestly I think those strategies are great.

But what if this is your first self-care day ever and you have no idea what you want?

Or, what if you just haven’t been able to see the hype about self-care days based on the ones you’ve tried in the past?

This free self-care checklist printable is here to give you an enjoyable and easy self-care day that will show you why you should be caring for yourself.

Here’s the story on this printable:

It’s probably not your perfect day! But if you don’t know what your perfect day is, it’s a good place to start.

This routine will balance mindfulness, productivity and fitness. You’ll set your phone aside to quiet your mind, care for your body, and prepare meals that will nourish you.

It will take you 3-4 hours to complete this routine, and it may take longer if you are cooking very involved meals during your meal prep.

As you go through the routine, focus on how each task feels. Does it feel good to do these items in this order? Are there tasks that are not serving you, or are not relevant to your lifestyle? For example, if you are living in a dorm and your meals are in a cafeteria, you may not need to meal prep. If there are tasks that don’t fit you, you know that that’s something to change in your self-care checklist going forward.

Customizing your Self-Care Checklist

Once you’ve done this routine through a few times, you will start to realize what you don’t like or what you would prefer to do differently. Your self-care day is all about you and should be focused on your preferred routines! So reworking the routine to suit your preferences is a good idea.

You might want to borrow from my body care routine or add in your affirmations. If you’re a bullet journal girl that might fit in here too!

This self-care printable is intended as a starter to help you find your way–once you’ve tried it this way, you might do a custom one using the messy-clean-quiet block printable I posted a few weeks ago, or in a bullet journal!
